Meet Our Founders
Brooke Miller is a parent experience consultant and co-founder of SIX.
A licensed psychotherapist, Miller is also the founder of Michigan’s first boutique wellness + co-working space specializing in serving moms and moms-to-be, Honey Space for Moms. A "trailblazer" according to San Francisco's 411 Magazine, Brooke always blends business with heart as a professional speaker, consultant, and entrepreneur.
She was a practicing psychotherapist for 15 years and connected with her audience in the media through her advice column, radio show, and as the parenting expert for The Ricki Lake Show. She has been quoted and interviewed in over 20 publications including Self Magazine and her personal story of surviving two brain tumors was chronicled in the Glenn Croston book, Gifts From The Train station: Healing Yourself By Helping Others.
Brooke received her BA from The University of Southern California and her Masters from Pacifica Graduate Institute for Jungian Psychology and is now a professional development trainer in the field of maternal mental health.
A native of the Midwest, Brooke was born in Detroit, spent her school-aged years outside Chicago, studied in Los Angeles, and began her career in San Francisco. In 2014, Brooke and her husband moved back to their Detroit roots to raise their two daughters and launch Honey Space for Moms and SIX Corporate Parent Experience Consulting.
Karen Evans is a parent experience consultant and co-founder of SIX.
As a licensed attorney, professor and business consultant, Karen has appeared as a guest expert on entrepreneurship, communication and business development on FOX2 Detroit, WXYZ-TV Channel 7, WWJ and Lawrence Technological University's Leaders & Innovators and more. Named a Most Valuable Entrepreneur by Corp! Magazine in 2017, Karen sets out to help her clients achieve growth and results. With over a decade in higher education administration experience, she understands the pressures of complex decision-making with multiple stakeholders.
Karen is an adjunct professor in the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Management at Lawrence Technological University. She received her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan. Karen, her husband, their two children, and assorted pets spend time walking, paddling and exploring the Detroit area.
Brooke and Karen are joined by a team of expert consultants and advisors in human resources, business operations, and corporate strategy.
